Session 1: Friday 7-11pm
East of Caen - Bolt Action - Host: Walter Melnyk
British infantry and elements of the 11th Armoured Division collide with veteran Panzer forces in the early days of the Normandy Campaign. (Bolt Action with dual activation and armour stats from Kampfgruppe Normandy.)
Ran - Ronin - Host: Dave Pyatt
Lord Hidetora's two sons have rebelled against father and are now trying to kill him! Based on the movie Ran by Kurosawa and using Osprey's Ronin ruleset we will play the pivotal castle assault scene from the movie! (Dave is also repeating this great game in Sessions 2, 3 and 5.)
Leviathans! Host: Alex Balmer
With steam-powered flying battleships, the Kaiser's Luftflotte challenges the Royal Sky Fleet for supremacy in the Victorian era. (Look for more of Alex's sci-fi games, including Battletech in the full schedule.)
Sweet Sabotage Host: Charles Cue
Play as a maid or a butler, and serve desserts to your customers... or sabotage your other co-workers progress! Only one can inherit the cafe, make sure it's YOU! Boardgamers, get a pre-publication play of this new game as Charles hosts this game in all 5 sessions of the con.
Wild West Scavenger Hunt - Boot Hill - Host: Terry Sawchenko
You will be given various tasks and then a token to be delivered for credits. If shot during the way any other player may take the booty and finish tasks for credits. Who has the most credits win. Boot Hill will be there for the losers.
Session 2: Saturday 9am-1pm
Battle of Charville - Black Powder - Host: North Shore Gamers
After their successful Minden game of Salute 2012, the North Shore boys return to the 18th Century. The Elector of Augsburg's forces face the invading Archduke's army in this grand Seven Years War battle.
Swiss vs Burgundians - Armati 2 - White Rock Gamers
The invincible Swiss army once again takes the field against Charles the Bold’s Burgundians. The Burgundian army, well equipped uniformed lost virtually every battle against the powerful Swiss. Can they win today?
Warhammer 40K - Host: Linton Harrison (stand-alone event)
A Warhammer 40K tournament consisting of 3 games using standard FOC armies of 1500 points. A player package detailing the required army composition and standard missions will be provided in advance. Prizes and trophies will be included. This event runs over the first 2 session periods from 9am-6pm in its own room. More details here.
Session 3: Saturday 2-6pm
Bridge over the River Eure - Bolt Action - Host: Wayne Johnson
A secondary supply line is needed. Problem.. The route travels over the river Eure and the bridge is held by the Germans. Solution.. Send a detachment of the RCR (Royal Canadian Regiment) to take and hold the bridge. Can the Canadians do it? Or will the Germans destroy it. (This game will be repeated at Session 4, 7pm)
Clay Havoc! Host: Cameron Widen
Build your own clay gladiator and send it off to fight for glory in the area! Flail away at the enemy with your doughy appendages, throw bits of yourself, or use special attacks to drop, poke, or smash them. Victors earn eternal fame, the defeated get squished!
D-Day: Gold Beach - Rapid Fire - Host: Stephen Fleming
Both Jig and King sectors are represented in this scenario. British 50th Division troops have a series of WN's to capture or knock out before German reinforcements arrive. Stephen hosts with the White Rock Gamers.
Rugged Adventures - Host: Bob Murch
Lead two-fisted heroes through perilous adventures in the exciting world of pulp. Enter these always-popular games hosted by Bob Murch of "Pulp Figures".
Temple of the Frog - 1st Ed D&D Host: Ryan Isaacson
Play the first D&D adventure ever! Infiltrate the Temple, free the slaves, and take the treasure! Characters include Magic-users, Fighting-men, Thieves, and Clerics. Character sheets will be designed for new players: experience is not required. All RPG players are welcome!
Session 4: Saturday 7-11pm
Escape of the French, 1940 - Supremacy at Sea Host: Ed Beauregard
The French, suspecting the motives of perfidious Albion, gather their fleet as German armies sweep across France. A secret agreement between Darlan and Mussolini brings the Regia Marina to sea to support the French. Somerville and Cunningham have the proverbial sticky wicket.
Hunt for the Son of Heaven - Daimyo - Host: David Smith
His Imperial Majesty has fled and is hiding on Hiei san. Daimyo have sent small bands to recapture him. Brave brothels, charismatic monks, sake, tempting noodles and other hazards to find him and bring power to your clan.
Larothiere - Host: Doug Hamm
Early 1814 and Napoleon is on the defensive. Can the Allies numbers do the job? These rules are for a Corps commander not a colonel. Reserves and not tactics are the key. Reprise of the successful game last year. Will Napoleon be defeated this time?
Viking Run Host: White Rock Gamers
Glory Awaits! Loot, Pillage and Plunder your way to Viking Glory. Each player competes as a Viking and tries to loot a Saxon village. Ruthlessness, treachery, and wickedness are a must!
Session 5: Big Game Sunday 10am-4pm
1800s Railway Board Games Host: Bill Dixon
Join hard-working host Bill Dixon and become a rail baron. Bill hosts a series of railway-building board games in each of the 5 sessions at Trumpeter Salute.
A Hard Demons Night - Judge Dredd Miniatures Game - Host: Gord Colter
Always providing a sharp-looking table and plenty of intrigue, Gord presents something different this year. In short, chaos ensues as a concert is hi-jacked by Demonic Cabalists.
Battletech Tournament Host: Alex Balmer
Solaris - Gladiatorial type event in the Battletech universe. Players compete in tournament-style battle. Space for 9 players in the robo-slugfest.
On the Steppes of Central Russia - JagdPanzer - Host: Terry Sawchenko
Summer 1943. Under a blazing summer sun elements of the LAH have been tasked with capturing the village of Tristina. These elements were destined to drive head on into a Russian counter offensive. By days end the sunset would be obscured by the smoke of a hundred funeral pyres.
