Friday Game Nights at Bonsor Community Centre in Burnaby (next to Metrotown; 2nd floor).  Playing Time: 6:30-11:00 pm
There are always more games played at Friday Game Night than appear in the schedule as many games will be "Bring and Play" (unregistered) games. GAME:  Cthulhu Wars
GENRE:  RPG

SCENARIO: Giant plastic horrors and tiny cultists. D6 based combat, dudes on a map, building gates to Doom the Earth. The gates provide energy to pay for the next round and score victory points, in a race to 30 points, but you can't with your six spell books. These goals/achievements are something you'll need to  do on the board which gain you your spell book, providing new options for each one completed.

July 1864, Sam Grant is hammering away at Lee's lines before Richmond. Hoping to relieve the pressure, Lee cuts loose Jubal Early's II Corps to take a swipe at an undefended Washington. It worked! The 'blue bellies' have been caught with their pants down, and Early's boys ain't much more than a hoot 'n a holler away from Ford's Theatre, itself. Why, Jubal is fixing to pick up some cheap tickets to a performance of ‘Our American Cousin’. "You go enjoy yoresel', Gen'l." say the boys. "Jes' leave us with enough tar n' rope to deal with ole Abe Lincoln! Haw!"

The Italians, despite the largest bribe ever offered in the history of the British Empire, decide to join the Great War on the Central Powers side, having been promised Egypt. First, it will be necessary to invade Malta to clear the way for convoys to North Africa. However the Royal Navy, assisted by the Marine Nationale, seeks to prevent that.

: Anyone presenting a game at Friday Game Night receives a participation ticket and a presenters raffle ticket for the evening prize draw.  Prizes include gift certificates from Imperial Hobbies as well as miniatures, game book and magazines.
