GAME: The Warring States China (475-221 BC) GENRE: Ancients HOST: Dennis Chin RULES: Warhammer Ancient Battles SCALE: 25mm PLAYER SLOTS: 6 SCENARIO: The Battle of Yangzhai 225 B.C. Reading about the Warring States in China is like watching Game of Thrones (minus the sex and the dragons). King Qin crushed the Kingdom of Han in 220 B.C. in his quest to conquer all of China. When all seven Kingdoms were finally subdued Qin became the First Emperor of China and ruled China with an iron fist, commencing the building of the Great Wall and directing the manufacturing of the Terra Cotta warriors. For this battle, the kingdom of Han rebels against the heavy taxes imposed on the country, raising a new army to defend itself. 2. GAME: Folkrest (temp name) GENRE: Card Game HOST: Gregorio Gatto RULES: Chess based with cards SCALE: N/A PLAYER SLOTS: 2 SCENARIO: Many forests and animals are dying and nothing of significance is being done to prevent that. Some druids choose pacifism and to believe that humans can change, while other, more frustrated druids, believe that only by showing the humans their pain that anything can change. Choose a side and protect your ideals with the help of creatures from myths and folklore from all corners of the World. 3. GAME: U-BOOT GENRE: 3D Board Game HOST: Mike Glover RULES: U-BOOT - co-op tactical U-boat simulation SCALE: N/A PLAYER SLOTS: 3 SCENARIO: It’s a co-op board game that uses a 3D scale model of a submarine interior with miniatures for the crew but it’s not really a miniatures game. The scenario is an early war sub patrol in the North Sea. One player takes the role of captain and is responsible for issuing orders and ensuring crew is in position to accomplish assigned tasks. They’re also responsible for crew morale. The First Officer operates hydrophones, enigma, ship’s guns, etc and is responsible for passing pertinent info to other players. He also controls the ship’s medic. The navigator is responsible for plotting the ship’s course, running the observation teams while on the surface, and setting up and controlling the tactical battle map (the map uses either minis or counters depending on player preference). The player needs to be comfortable with basic math/bearings. They also control the ship’s cook and are responsible for making meals (cooking mini game). The chief engineer does repairs and damage control. Routine repairs require crew management. Emergency repairs involve assembling puzzles under a strict time limit. 4. GAME: Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Cesar GENRE: Board Game HOST: Daniele RULES: Falling Sky SCALE: Time scale: 1 year per 15-card campaign PLAYER SLOTS: 4 SCENARIO: Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar (formerly Gallic War) takes 1 to 4 players into the military actions and complex politics of Roman-occupied but not-yet-conquered Gaul. Caesar and his hard-hitting legions cannot be everywhere and will not triumph without powerful allies among local tribes. But each Gallic confederation has its own agenda and must keep its eyes not only on the Romans but also on Celtic, Belgic, and Germanic rivals. Players recruit forces, rally allies, husband resources for war, and balance dispersed action with the effectiveness and risk of concentrated battle. 5.
