1.
GAME: Devil Boats GENERA: WWII Small Boats Naval HOST: Lisa Smedman RULES: Devil Boats by Compass Games SCALE: 1/300th PLAYERS: Up to 6 SCENARIO: Each player is the commander of a US Navy PT Boat on night patrol in 1943 in the Solomon Islands. You'll be going on missions as a squad to attack Japanese barges, resupply coast watchers, and rescue downed pilots. Hazards include storms, Japanese air attacks, patrolling Japanese destroyers, and even malaria, which can whittle down your 12-man crew. Missions are short and raid objectives are randomly determined - we'll play through as many missions as time will allow. If there is enough interest, we can continue the campaign in future Trumpeter sessions - the game includes rules for levelling up your crewmembers and achieving victory points through kills, which could earn your commander a medal!. _______ 2. GAME: Four Power Compact GENERA: WWII Naval HOST: Ed Beauregard RULES: Steel Fleets SCALE: 1/2400th PLAYERS: 8 SCENARIO: In this universe, Italy stayed with the Central Powers but found the war a pointless exercise as neither France nor Italy could conduct successful offensives in the Alps, and the Italian colony of Libya was quickly overrun by a combined British and French offensive from east and west. It is now April, 1918, and Italy is trying to maintain its foothold in Albania by coordinating a landing near Corfu with a combined Austro-Hungarian and Bulgarian offensive along the coast of Greece. The K.u.K. Kriegsmarine fleet from Pola and the Italian fleet from Taranto are set to meet in the Ionian Sea off Corfu but the Allies, tipped off by the wizardry of Room 40, are speeding British, French, American and Japanese naval forces to prevent the linkup and smash the invasion. _______ 3. GAME: American Civil War GENERA: ACW HOST: Terry Sawchenko RULES: Stars n Bars SCALE: 15mm PLAYERS: 2 - 4 SCENARIO: Run up to Vicksburg. Grant has pushed his forces across the Mississippi and is on the move northwards. Taking his time he has moved his army East and North of Vicksburg cutting all ties to the East in preparation for a siege. A surprised garrison in one of the small towns east of Vicksburg is set to hold back the unexpected Union force not realizing they are facing the vanguard of an entire army. Can the southerners be driven from the town or can they give the advanced Union forces a bloody nose before the main army shows and sweeps them away like so many leaves before a storm? _______ 4. GAME: Once Upon a Time in Erebor... GENERA: Fantasy HOST: Will Bailie/Craig Murray RULES: Dragon Rampant SCALE: 28mm PLAYERS: 5 SCENARIO: After many months of travel, surviving great perils along the way, a group of dwarves (and their diminutive companion) have recovered the home of their ancestors. But one more challenge faces them, as a group of men and elves have shown up to demand a share of the treasure! _______ 5. GAME: Kings of War GENERA: Fantasy HOST: Shawn Winstanley RULES: Fantasy Battle SCALE: 28mm PLAYERS: 4 - 10 SCENARIO: Join us for the best Fantasy rank & flank out there. New players welcome, we're happy to give demos. _______ 6. GAME: Company of Heroes GENERA: WWII Land HOST: Len Zigante RULES: TBA SCALE: 1/120th PLAYERS: 4 - 10 SCENARIO: This is an easy to learn game of WWII tank and infantry warfare derived from the popular video game of the same name. We'll be playing on the Trois Points map with the objective of battling for control points to collect manpower, munitions and fuel. These resources allow us to construct new buildings, purchase units and upgrade weapon choices & abilities. To win, players either attempt to be the first to collect enough victory points or totally annihilate the enemy's base. The game incorporates fog of war, utilizing cover and buildings, flanking armor, spotting, combining multi-unit tactics, veteran upgrades, deciding what units to purchase and what buildings to unlock. It involves squad level tactical movement and focuses heavily on securing, collecting and spending resources to purchase new buildings, units and upgrades. Do you have what it takes to lead your forces to victory? _______ 7.
