1.
GAME: D&D: Black Fist, Bright Claw GENRE: RPG HOST: Peter Haldenby SCALE: n/a RULES: Dungeons and Dragons, 5th Edition PLAYERS: 2 - 6 SCENARIO: The discovery of a hidden illegal jail beneath the ruins of the Black Lyceum has provided some clues to larger events, but many questions remain unanswered. In the meantime the party still need money for food and lodging - fortunately there's always work in Phlan for those willing to risk their lives for coin. Players are welcome to either bring along a level 2 character or pick a pre-generated one. Please bring a miniature for your character if you have one. This game is picking up on a story we started a few months ago, so if we run low on places priority will be given to existing players. 2. GAME: American Civil War GENRE: Black Powder HOST: Dennis Chin SCALE: 20mm RULES: Brigade Fire & Fury (Not regimental time) PLAYERS: 4 SCENARIO: Battle of Second Manassas Redux (or Second Battle of Bull Run) August 29, 1862. In the historical battle it was a total Confederate Union victory. In this unhistorical (what else?) version, we will see what happens if the Union General Pope gets off his fat ass and acts immediately on the information received from his spies that General Jackson is waiting in ambush for him, being well entrenched behind an unfinished railway cut in the woods west of the Manassas Junction. General Pope has the use of an additional Union division and he marches his troops most of the night to be in place to attack the Rebel army in the early morning. 3. The earlier tank battle in the village didn't destroy the chandelier factory but the poor manager's nerves were shattered. Seeking calmer surroundings, he relocated the factory amidst the rolling hills of the Champagne region near Sedan. What's that? ...a faint rumbling in the distance? This time, heftier tanks enter the arena, with French Char B1'is taking on German Panzer III's. We will be playing an asymmetrical scenario with more Germans than French as well as trying out the multi-gunned Char B1s. 4. GAME: Student Card Games GENRE: Card Games HOST: Lisa Smedman SCALE: n/a RULES: Student designed card games PLAYERS: Unlimited SCENARIO: Once again, Lisa will bring her latest crop of game design students to Trumpeter to test out the card games they've designed. There will be at least three games on offer: one in which thieves strive to steal diamonds from each other; one that involves dueling wizards; and the third a game in which players try to create combinations of "elements" to save the Earth. Lisa will also bring a card game of her own design. 5.
