On the wrong side of town (just in front of the Klegg onslaught) is Corporate mogul Kosagen along with his personal bodyguard Che Gorilla and a female secretary. Kosagen aspires to journey to the top of his office tower in the corporate sector and escape the local unpleasantness in his private helicopter.
Meanwhile, a large gang of displaced chimps (The Chimpany of Screams) look to do some cross-town shopping (read looting) and raise merry heck while the Judges are busy with the Kleggs.
Meanwhile, a large gang of displaced chimps (The Chimpany of Screams) look to do some cross-town shopping (read looting) and raise merry heck while the Judges are busy with the Kleggs.
The End Results:
Judges 1, Kleggs 0, Chimps 2
There was enthusiastic and inspired play. The Street Judges player decision to override the Kosagen Corporation building security codes and press the helicopter into service was a game changer though it did give the Chimps more time to create mischief.
The Klegg player’s decision to flank rather than assault the Electro Cordon was a sound one and even better was his decision to take leave from the Kosagen Corporation party and hunt for easier prey. Having the Wild Thing climb to the Skytrain platform was especially fitting.
The Riot Judges player’s decision to call for back-up was necessary and made in time to affect the eventual outcome.
The Chimpany player recognised that prolonging and re-balancing the Justice Department/ Klegg fight was instrumental in keeping the Judges off his hairy friends' backs; the helicopter was a direct casualty of Chimp meddling in action.
The Judges stopped the Kleggs (1) and managed (barely) to evacuate exactly half (35 of 70) of the citizens (2). However, even though they called for back-up (-1), the Judges failed to apprehend the criminal Chimpany of Screams. The Mechanismo Strike Force was taken out of action along with a Riot Judge and the Rookie Judge. A pursuit car with a Street Judge driver and a Med Judge passenger answered the call for back-up.
The Kleggs looked to be on a roll early while the Judges came on stronger in the mid-game but when the Wild Thing climbed to the platform the Judges thought they were done for. The amazing efforts of Riot Judge O’Brien and not a little Judges luck saw the Kleggs fall with victory just out of their grasp. This was as close as close can be. Another civilian death or a die-roll one way or another could have easily reversed the outcome.
The Chimpany of Screams got what amounted to a free ride. Despite antagonizing the Kleggs and contributing to the demise of the Judge expropriated helicopter, the Chimps were unmolested and succeeded in all (over half the gang escape with looted goods (1), steal motorcycles (2)) but their vanity objective - having a chimp, preferably a leader, escape with loot via the roof of a Skytrain car leaving the station.
The Kosagen Corporation party were considered citizens for the purposes of the scenario.
Thanks to those of you who helped bring the game to life in a rollicking adrenalin filled adventure in every way in keeping with the annals of Judge Dredd.
