1.
GAME: War of the Roses (15th Century, England) GENERA: Medieval Land Combat HOST: Dennis Chin RULES: Never Mind The Billhooks SCALE: 25mm PLAYERS: Up to 6 SCENARIO: The Second Battle of Canterbury March 1471. The War of the Roses was waged between 1455 and 1485. The war of the Roses earned its flowery name because the White Rose was the badge of the York and the red rose was the badge of the Lancastrians. There were 30 years of political manipulation, horrific carnage, and brief periods of peace, finally ending with a new royal dynasty. This was supposed to be the Age of Chivalry, but there is nothing chivalrous about a fully armored knight with a sword hacking a poor peasant to pieces when the latter is only armed with a pitch-fork. In this scenario, Queen Margaret of Anjou and the king-maker, the Earl of Warwick, join up to counter King Edward IV's forces outside of the town of Canterbury. Edward IV, in exile in Flanders, just landed with his army on the east coast of England. _______ 2. GAME: Kings of War: Fantasy Battles GENERA: Fantasy Land Combat HOST: Luke Fraser RULES: Kings of War: Fantasy Battles SCALE: 28mm PLAYERS: Players: 6 - 10, up to 5 tables SCENARIO: Join us for the best Fantasy rank & flank out there. Play out one of countless countryside engagements that led to the beginning of the Europe theater of World War Two _______ 6. GAME: Chaos at Cannes GENERA: World War II Naval HOST: Ed Beauregard RULES: Supremacy at Sea SCALE: 1/2400th PLAYERS: 8 SCENARIO: In this alternate universe because of a sneak Russian attack on Germany at the beginning of June 1940, just as France was going down to defeat, the French were able to hold the German army on the Somme. Now that the situation has stabilized on the Eastern Front, the Germans are planning a new Western Front offensive. To assist in drawing off French forces, the Italian Army has been requested to make a landing between Cannes and Toulon. The Marine Nationale, assisted by ULTRA decrypts, is racing to intervene. _______ 7. GAME: 7 Years War - Hendaye GENERA: The Seven Years War HOST: Terry Sawchenko RULES: Warfare in the Age of Reason SCALE: 15mm PLAYERS: 4 SCENARIO: The Seven Years war was playing out to the final end. The alliance between Spain and France has unravelled as a result of continuous defeats inflicted by Britain. Feeling France had betrayed her Spain sent out a “shot across the bows” against France. An official raid on the border city of Hendaye. Spies had given previous notice to the French aristocracy and an attempt was made to catch, cut off and decimate the Spanish forces. The French caught up with the Spanish along the long road back. Safety or captivity.
